The oil is derived from the Aquilaria tree, locally known as “trầm hương,” in Pursat Province, Cambodia. Agarwood chips are soaked in water, then gently steamed over firewood and rapidly cooled to capture the purest drops of essential oil.
Pursat agarwood oil is characterized by its strong woody notes. When first opened, the resinous scent rises prominently. Applied to the skin, after about 30 minutes, the resin fades, leaving a lasting deep woody sweetness.
